eyes.

dress.aa. cardie.joe.sandals.sm.purse.topshop.hat.vintage

spent the most special day at my boyfriends relatives wine + olive farm.
an afternoon of tea + walking in vineyards on a weekday + chats with his loud farmer uncle + the biggest dog i have ever seen + breathtaking views+ the best of all: meeting these precious. precious children...

look at those faces.
my heart seriously melted.

i've wanted to talk about one of the charities/causes that i have supported now for a good three years or so.
and that i am dearly passionate about.
thought this was the perfect time to share. as i looked into these children's precious eyes.
now i don't want to come across as preachy. but.
passionate. HECK YES.

i feel if this blog brings anything to anyone. i want it to show people my heart for others + the ability to make a difference.
especially for little children who really do not have a voice in the world...

it is a charity called invisible children.  please please please check out their site. video.&  mission.

i promise you, your heart will break. melt. be filled with joy all at once.
it honestly changed my life.
the courage that these children possess and their desire for something better, is my inspiration.

" invisible children stands by the belief that it is SMALL groups of dedicated people who change the world, those who envision the seemingly impossible and tirelessly pursue it"

say what you want. do what your heart desires. but know that one ACT. can change a child's life forever.

thanks guys.

since i discoverd your blog some time ago, i stop by more or less regularly, and what makes looking at all your photos even better, is seeing that there is a caring, warmhearted and sensitive soul behind the blog. fashion may never be the most important or only thing we all have in mind, for it is nothing more than tiny peanuts for major parts of the world. keep sharing with us!

On a less meaningful note, that dress and blazer combo is gorgeous.

Hey L, I love your blog! I think it's great that you are involved with such a charity. It must be so strange coming from Canada and seeing the problems of South Africa; I'm really glad that you are doing something about it!

That said, LOVE your style and I am wearing those same shoes right now. I'm obsessed. Have a fun weekend!

Thank you for such a beautiful entry!. I visit some fashion blogs because I love fashion, but I miss this kind of acts and posts in all of them. It is ok loving fashion as a way or art, as a way os scaping sometimes of the everyday routine, as a way of feeling better, but we have to stay grounded and think about all these people, families, parents, children, who struggle everyday to live with less than 1$ while a lot of people can spend 500$ in a pair of shoes. That's crazy!
Thank you for giving us the other nice look of you.
