I think they are as classic as ever, but I always seem to bypass it in my closet. Sometimes I think it was way too boring and other times I feel like Mr. Rogers, a detective from a 1940's film or even better a "flasher" (they always seem to wear trench coats, don't they?)
But I do love it and its possibilities are endless.
So when I do wear it I always try to pair it with something a tad "edgier", i.e. jean cut-offs, leather leggings, acid wash...
they are definitely here to stay.
I also had a crazy dream last night of clutches. A wonderfully studded clutch and also a jumbo cream one...ah. it never seems to end.

Oh Lisa! How do you do it?! I feel like I should of figured out your style secrets, but I'm starting to realize, maybe there are no secrets to your style and rather you are one of those rare people whose style is simply effortless, but oh so incredible! Love love the trench, epsecially with what you paired it with, the way you mix in match always makes anything classic (like a trench coat) look modern and fresh!

ReplyDeleteYou can do DIY its so easy, its all just about customisation really, and with the huge trend in fringing and studs and lace lately - the possiblities are endless!
I love working out to early daft punk and the presets latest album for running and then something angry for cycling... like rock'n'roll or metal! New stars at the moment is it? Cant find them on myspace, ill have to get hold of it somewhere else.
How amazing is my drawing by Danny at Igor and Andre!? I swear i almost burst into tears when i saw it. I'm so incredibly lucky.

Ah, this coat is awesome. I once wrote a paper on trench coats... Flashers do seem to wear them, but also Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart...lots of associations really. You wear it well. I like the "edge" you add.
