i think when spice girl mania hit i tried to re-create all 5 of the girls looks...frosting was there speciality!

one of my besties mother used to work for proctor and gamble, which cover girl was a brand, and almost every friday we would have makeup parties, and dig through all the free goodies in her basement. I never left without a bag brimming with endless teenager experimentation

i'm still a fan of cover girl.

but using chanel white satin + bobbi brown white out, allows me to feel a tad more grown up these days.

i transitioned from day to night in nyc, with a vintage t + blush ballet plats - to a denim shirt + heels.

transitioning is key.

oh another note: this alexander wang "brenda" bag is going to be leaving my possession. i'm still madly in love with it, but i'm not wearing it as much as i thought... and i know a better home for it exists out there. what to do on a sunny sunday afternoon?

on my agenda : babysitting...dogs.

enjoyed a nice lunch out + a morning run around the lake, but majority of the day was spent playing with these ferocious men.

romeo, my dog is on the left --> studded collar and all. which coincidentally matches my studs on my vest. whooooa. did not mean that to happen, as i'm sure you guys share the dislike of pets and their owners donning anything similar in nature.

what a week..

from cold to sun---> to a ride on a emotional roller coaster.

but with the sun shining i had to grab my fun dress to bring some cheer.

a dress with tails. yes please!

i remember seeing this dress in topshop a couple of times.

but one night, as we were eating veggie burritos in the east village, i saw the cutest blonde girl rocking the tails.  i examined her crossing the street, the the flaps bouncing with each step.

and

i was sold. 

seeing a dress in motion is a whole other experience.

it brings it to life, and it makes me wish before i made any purchase

 i could witness it dancing around on someone else.

thats what makes runways so magical.

to put it in simple terms. the clothes gain LIFE.

and oh what a beautiful life they possess.

today is by far the coldest day of the year, and i decided to pull out my oh-so-frilly-slip.

why, i truly don't know.

it was my only purchase from beacons closet in nyc.

i double slipped it up and bundled up in my fav. army coat.

musts right now: long johns. tea. fire. soup. sleeping in socks ( which is soooo hard to do, hey? i can never sleep with socks ) 

NO central heating. 7 degree chill = icicles.

well these past few days have been an emotional roller coaster.

a pre- mid-life crisis? do such things exist.

ahhhh all i want to do is cuddle up in a ball by the fire.
