coupled with INSANELY cold temps.

and to top it off, it was on whyte ave, which is outdoors!

i had just finished bikram, and was in the area of a vintage store called, Decadence.

how could i not?

so i bundled up, parked my car near a meter and browsed for a good hour or so.

i found this crazy. cool paul mccartney tour 89-90 T.

vintage rocker T's = pure bliss.

and a few summer dresses ( i return to south africa in february) and a couple of lounge-y old-school sweat shirts.

i am a bit of a nerd/hardcore over here!

also found this skirt at JOE ( aka superstore) for merely a few dollars.

it vaguely reminds me of the cotton ysl greatness.

and finally. after a year of no haircutting ( not on purpose :) ). i am just extremely hair lazy.

i got a trim!

So I think I 'm finally getting over the dreaded jet-lag.

I get super sleepy at around 4 in the afternoon, but resist the urge to take a nap so I can re-set my sleep-wake cycle.

I definitely think someone living in the Great North should write a book on how to dress in

- 30, as it is proving to be difficult.

"Fashion in the Freeze".... "Freezing Fashion".... " Cold Chic"....

My luggage arrived this morning, but it really did not make too much of a difference as I really did not pack anything at all!

I am crazy coming to Canada with no clothes.

I got this vintage blazer at a quick stop at the shop, and this hat at Superstore ( Joe Fresh, i love you... Joseph Mimran is the genius behind the Canadian powerhouses- Alfred Sung. Club Monaco & Caban) Now this label, Joe Fresh is sold in Superstore, which is a massive no-name grocery store.

What a wonderful way to start a Monday.

The BF is on leave from work for 2 glorious weeks.

We had friends in town who just got engaged, so we went for a wonderful monday madness treat.

I swear everyone around me is either getting engaged. married. or having babies. Do you guys feel the same?

We have been together for a.long.time so the time is yet to come...

But I swear ladies + gents are getting married younger & younger & everywhere I turn another friend has an announcement.

Super exciting, but I am starting to feel old :)

Friday sundowners in the cape = perfection.

AH. So excited to have found these bad-boys.

They are men's which makes me love them that much more.

The slight steel-toe detailing in the front is killer.

I will be wearing these babies excessively.

So triathlon training has come to a halt ( not that I was really training to begin with, more like leisurely 20-30 min. fun jogs ;) )

It honestly feels like I need a hip replacement. So I pretty much hobble everywhere.

BF thinks I pulled both "sartorious" muscles.

So I hope I don't need more extensive treatment.

He just injects me in the tush with meds and I shuffle along.

Ah. I totally feel like such a bore! Sorry guys.

My exams are sucking me dry and I still have just under a month to go.

Especially my computer course, which has 8 finals ( one for each module ). I'm probably the least computer savvy person you will meet. I don't even own photo shop for the fear of being completely overwhelmed. So here I am trying to sit and teach myself Excel. Database. PowerPoint. Word.... ahhhh. The computer simply sucks me dry.

The last picture sums up how I feel about the course :)

So in times of blah- I just stick to my comforts. Vintage tee + jean shorts. They will never fail me. Even if my computer administrator does...
