i love ny.

T.diytimessquare.jeans.jj's.shoes.zoom(black pumps).purse.h&m.
another diy.
man I am a monster.
I just want to ravage everything in sight.
Especially since I am trying not to shop since I ordered heaps online months ago, which has yet to arrive.
SO if you have ever been to NYC you can attest that these shirts are available everywhere you look in times square
I can't help myself and every time I go, I fall for the 11 shirts for 10 dollars & even some places you can get 15 for 10.
I promise you I have more than I would like to say.
One for every occasion. gym. garden. hiking. nightgown.lounging... etc.
But today I thought I would go a bit further as the temperatures were soaring, and a tank top was calling my name.
Therefore I chopped the sleeves. both front and back of the neck and then just trimmed and played around a bit. Then with a piece of the neck I cut off, I tied the two back pieces.
YAY. new shirt!

great diy :)
I did this a couple months ago w/ an old french connection tee
but mainly because it had a stain on the collar...hehe
and i know what you mean, once you get to diy'ing, it's hard to stop
but all it takes is messing up just ONE item hehe

Finally a photo where it doesn't look stupidly sunny, so I can sit here and NOT get jealous. Neat DIY!

Things are getting strange Lisa. You probably cant tell but im my post yesterday i was wearing a NYC tshirt...co-incidence? I think not! We clearly have some sort of strange fashion related pyschic connection...!
Although i have actually never been to NY so ive never had opportunity to take advantage of the bargain tees (and who could resist!).
Classic DIY, its sexy one - and i love the carpark photos, with the sky and all. Gorgeous!
Anyway Im off to punish myself at spin for eating toast and peanut butter for dinner.
Have a great day!!!

ooooooh I ADORE this DIY, especially on you! It just looks so beautiful, and I love your hair pulled back like that :)
And I know EXACTLY what you mean about the 15 shirts for $10 thing...it's why I try not to go over to Chinatown too often.

xo hope you're having a gorgeous day

Well you are a monster with a great skill at DIYs! haha. You made me laugh with your post today, and that shirt is so incredible! Love the way you did the back of it, genius! And is it just me or is this outfit made even better by being offset by that bright yellow car in background? I'm thinking yes! :D And weird, I was so distracted by the shirt and car, that I nearly missed the fabulouslness of your jeans! Love the wash!

Anyway, thanks for your comment dear! <3 And yes, I do type very very fast, I live LONG comments in SHORT amounts of time! Probably good in the case of sitting down and replying to 70 comments in a row, it's a surprise my fingers don't begin to cramp up! :P

Have a wonderful... I was about to say Thanksgiving but you're Canadian and now in South Africa, so probably no Thanksgiving. But um, happy Thursday! :D

xoxo,
S-C

HAHAAHAHAHAH SO TRUE OMG.

They always have crazy bargains like that here in New York.

I always get the urge to become giving when I see those signs and just buy a bunch of shirts and get one for everyone I know. Although its quite tacky when a native new yorker like myself wears one of those shirts haha.

great post!

I've been trying to find a good I Love NY shirt for a while now! Every time I seem to go hunting, they always turn up as one for five dollars. Ugh, that's what I get for checking Little Italy. Next time, I'm hitting up Times Square and Chinatown for my cheap shirt needs.
